Abstract Base rot, caused by Ceratocystis paradoxa , can be a severe disease of pineapple planting material and result in poor establishment plants. Pre-plant dipping crowns potassium phosphonate is used to control Phytophthora cinnamomi root heart rot was tested for efficacy against base this study.
